The 140 speedometer was sourced from Ford Motorsport and it wasn't available
from them until sometime in 1985.
>From a manufacturing standpoint, it probably didn't make sense to put them
into the car as standard equipment until the start of 1986 production when
they could include it in the final costs of the car, retail from Ford
Motorsport at the time was $94.45.
I wonder though if they did offer it as a mid-year stand alone option to the
dealers, maybe Sandy will be able to confirm or deny this though.
