my 85 rag came with a 140 speedo, and is listed ion the invoice as
an option, not factory equip. however with all the mods i have
done (new rear end, tranny, tires, etc) it is nowhere near right
either. you can get a new gear for the rear of the speedo which
will correct the difference. but you must find out the true
difference. it cant be 7-8 miles off, is it reading when your
stopped? i didnt think so. a speedo will be off a percentage of
miles per mile. like it may be off 1 mile for ever 10 miles on the
speedo. so if your going 60 your really going 54 if its reading
slow. once you figure out the corect ratio you can fix the problem
