Except for the paint underneathe would have never been exposed to as much sunlight and you'd probably have a section of the hood that looked much better than the rest.
I had applied 351 decals to my fenders of my 81 Capri and when I removed them, it left "351" perfectly on the side of those fenders in brilliant burgandy red...where the rest of the fender was slightly dulled. :/
Of course my car was a daily driver (30,000 miles a year) and didn't quiet get the pampering Sandy's cars get...
