A long time ago I posted some info about how a place called the Tire Rack had some McLaren wheels. The wheels in this auction are them. I've seen a set of these on a car and they looked kinda funny cause you could see a thin stripe of orange around the bead of the tire where the outer lip of the wheel didn't get painted black. They were sold as part of a wheel and tire package. This is the story told to me by Diversified Marketing when I tried to buy some more wheels from them. Apparently ASC or Diversified (not sure of this part) had a "ton" of the orange wheels laying around and liquidated them to the Tire Rack cause they weren't selling very well. I had gotten one for a replacement for $85 back in '89 and figured I'd buy a set but a couple months later the "ton" of wheels they had laying around were all of sudden all gone.
