Frankly... I wouldn't buy a used shoe from that guy based on his pass history of flipping cars. He is basically an unlicensed used car flogger that moves cars through eBay. Back where I use to live they enacted a law stopping 'curbsiders' that are constantly putting cars out on their front lawn for sale.
And it turns out that I was wrong when I said he finally had declared a car for what it was. On second reading of his eBay auction I noticed that he HAD ONCE AGAIN CALLED IT A MUSTANG ( but that that he said it was a Mustang based on a Capri platform ).
This guy is deceptive to the 11nth degree and he seems to specialize in flogging Capri McLaren's as MUSTANG McLarens. Considering that this is his umpteenth 'CAPRI McLaren' that he has flogged on eBay you would think that he is 'knowledgeable' about these cars. That being so... his constant reference to Mustang McLaren and usual hiding or failing to clearly state CAPRI leaves me rather distrustful about anything else he says about the cars he is flogging.
I do know that when I bought my 'road pig' this chap attempted to deal directly with the previous owner to do an end run around me and buy up my 'road pig'. I can only assume that it would have shown up as a magically restored road warrior within weeks at three times the price. Fortunately the previous own was a cop and he stood by his deal to sell me the car at the agreed price.

O.K ! Everybody please indulge me for just a second while I vent and
snap back to reality. Wanna hear a funny story? OK! "here it go !"
Read the post about the '86 on ebay the other day,clicked on the
link to check it out,lo and behold there sits in all its beautiful
glory one of the better looking specimens of our collective
affection. TO make matters worse its being sold with no reserve(?).
(This should have been my first clue). Anyway, being the savy ebayer
that I am I decide to watch for a while to see how the bidding goes.
Watched for three hours off and on,no bids,price at $3000,two days
left. I thought to myself this might be a genuine bargain, so I
emailed the guy to ask a few questions. He replies with answers and
a stated he needed 6k to sell the car(this should have been my
second clue).
After reading his reply I checked the auction.... 1 day left and
the price is only at $3550. Now I'm thinking "this guy will never
get six grand out of this and somebody will end up with one hellava
bargain Mclaren. Then I saw the notice about the auction being
private(third clue). Checked back this morning about 11:30, price at
$4056 and change. I figure I'll wait till the auction is about to
end and place the winning bid. I fire up the computer about an hour
ago to get set to buy another Mclaren for less than 5grand
(hopefully) and what do I see? Two more bids than I saw at 11:30,
but now the price mysteriously reads $6000!!!! DO YOU THINK THIS GUY
GHOST BID THIS THING UP TO GET HIS PRICE?????
