Actually I did report this guy in the past to eBay. I considered his actions of posting Capri McLaren's as Mustang McLaren's to be false and misleading. eBay did NOTHING. His auction continued without any change or alteration.
It would be something akin to advertising a Camaro as Firebird - or a Challenger as a Cuda. And this guy has done it consistently over the past year with the Capri McLaren's he has flogged. That is also why I originally questioned whether a Capri McLaren is worth less on the open market than a Mustang McLaren - otherwise this guy would have no incentive to be out huckerstering the folks with his lies that his cars have all been Mustang.McLaren. In fact I don't think I have ever seen him huckster an actual Mustang McLaren.... they have all been Capri McLaren's which are claimed to be Mustangs.
If these were 'Saleen Mustangs' and 'Saleen Capri's' you can be sure that the folks from Saleen would have put the kabosh on this guy a long time ago. They are quite vigilante about claims made on eBay related to products supposedly 'Saleen this' and 'Saleen that'. They are protecting their marque from misrepresentation and dilution. Unfortunately the folks from ASC are long gone from our scene and that leaves it up to the various McLaren marques to try to keep things honest out there in the marketplace.

Benefits from a private auction are not to be harrassed by other
sellers or snoopy people knowing your business. There are
conveniences to a private auction.
If you smell something wrong with the seller or item then alert
Ebay. I just don't see someone posting a car on Ebay with a vin
number that can be car faxed or paying fees on something sold over
$6,000 in this case.
