He says that he at first started with a special spring designed by himself but then went with the stock Ford springs when "horizontal shock absorbers" were used. I assume that he is referring to the quadra shocks that Ford employed in 1984. So which coupes came with "special" springs? Early 84s?...or did they all get the Motorsport ones? or maybe he didn't remember right?
