Congrats on the new car!

Now for starters the doors from a mustang will work, only problem as you
already know is the glass (and in coupe versions the window surround is a
real issue.) There are many parts you need to change over as well. If it's
only bubbling at the top I'd suggest going for a new door skin instead.
Before doing that though check under the door as it is a common area for
these to really rot making complete replacement a necessary evil.

Capri hood is fine you just need to take off the C A P R I. Sell them on
EBAY as many folks are missing a letter or two and could really use them.

The trunk is a dilemma. I would fist see if you can get the solenoid to
work with a direct power source. If that doesn't work from what I know you
have to start taking apart the interior. You may find the remainder of the
manual release when you take out the rear storage buckets.

Hi All
I am a new owner of a 85 McLaren Convertible. I found your site while
doing research on the car before buying it. I am glad to see so many of
these cars still live. I bought the red one off of ebay that one of your
member showed earlier.
This one is not in the best of shape. The sea breezes have been blowing
salt on it for too long. The rear fender extentions have been the hardest
hit( as in eaten through ) Also the tops of the doors are starting to bubble
under the paint. But the rest of the body is solid and the engine rebuild he
did about 80,000 miles ago it still running strong. The interior is in need
of a good going over but he had recovered the recaro seats (comfy).
I have a few questions to ask if you don't mind.
`1. Will mustang doors fit if I change out the glass?
2. Will a capri hood be a direct replacement?
3. How do I get into the trunk? The silenoid just stopped working and there
is no cable in the manual release. I am kinda worried about this one.

Well I am off for a cruise any help will be appreciated.
