That one was just plain old fashion 'spam' where the asshole was able to get into the forum to post his spam offer.   No virus attached.... just a slimey advertising technique.
 
They probably spammed all the yahoo groups with that stupid ad.   Normally the folks at Yahoo are pretty good at filtering that type of crap out...   but occassionally some do slip in.
 
I would love to see all these folks who SPAM get nailed hard in their pocketbook for that kind of univited nonsense.
 
The sad part is that there are LOSERS out there that keep replying or buying the crap these weasles sell.   So as long as the spamsters keep finding suckers who will bite on whatever crap product they are selling, there is no motivation or incentive for them to stop.
 
Argh...
 
And you can't always kill the e-mail address because they spoof the addresses of legitimate and honest users.   So you could in essence kill the account of a totally innocent user because of a spoof by a spammer...
