Re: [ASC McLaren ] Re: INSURANCE GUY WON'T FIX

I've heard of "agreed value coverage" from other Mustang owners
before.

Try companies like

www.grundy.com
www.parishheacock.com
www.classicins.com

I even tried for my "plan Jane" 1990 Mustang LX.  I would have qualified,
too, were it not for one thing.  I don't have a fully enclosed locking garage.
The point I'm trying to make is that these antique/collector type car insurance
isn't only for very old cars.  Newer cars can qualify, but the underlying requirement
in all of them is the enclosed/locking garage.

Good luck,

So I've often thought, when I get my car and have a good $20k into
it or more, what insurance can I use to "protect" the value of the
car so that if it gets hit, a small fender bender won't "total" it.

I don't think any "normal" insurance company is going a assess a
1985 Capri for more than $5k.  Even as a collectible ascMcLaren, I
doubt the book value is much more.
