Silver GP IV
Hello group, I have some variations on my silver GP IV that have me wondering, I bought the car in December, put it in storage at that time. I have broke it out for the summer! My silver GP IV car has the Carrera shocks, a 140 mph speedo, a Orange Mclaren decal on the passenger side, it has what appears to be a experimental 8.8 axle, as by the number ground into it XE-4010-A etched with a grinder, instead of the E6SW number that is found on the 86 8.8's.The drive shaft is larger than the one in my 85 5.0 Capri. It is almost 3 1/4 inches across. The engine and trans are the original ones, the engine sounds like it has a mild cam, possibly a M-6250-E302 or M-6250-E303. Does anyone with a GP IV, have any of these mods on their cars? I know the records where destroyed on these cars. This has me wondering. I believe the mods where done when it was at Mclaren. Looking for input, Thanks David
