Check out post #194 and some posts around that area on this group.

You may want to contact the head of the GP4 registry and ask if he
knows about any modifications done. It sounds like you could
possibly have one of the "true" pace cars.

Was there ever an 8.8 axle prior to 85? I was trying to see if they
were on the Lincolns or Trucks but didn't quickly see a reference to
anything before 1986.

Again, was the E303 wasn't out at that time? Maybe there is a B303
in the engine.
