fiberglass cap removal?

Hi all
I am slowly restoring my 85 convert Mclaren and have a question
that you may be able to help me with. The metal lid that flips up to
access the convert top was replaced before I bought the car. The
color doesnt match so I want to pull it off and repaint. My question
is 'How do I get the fiberglass cap off?' Is it glued on or are
there hidden screws or moulding clips? Also I need to replace my
convert top and have seen a reference to a shop called cabrioworld.
Has anyone dealt with them or know of a different shop.
