It has a digital readout so I would assume it IS an Electronic
Tuning Radio (ETR). Technically the radio (even with a digital
readout) needs to have the tuner on a chip to be ETR. I can't tell
from this user guide.
However, does the Alpine have an AUTOMATIC song locator on the
cassette? One of my old cassette radios would fast forward to the
end of a song and when it saw "silence" on the tape it would stop.
This radio does not have that feature.
Sandy, do you have your Alpine 7272 Manual? IT would be nice to
know what features you have.
I DO have a BRAND NEW Alpine 7263 Radio (thanks EBAY!) and I would
assume its going to be ALMOST IDENTICAL to the 7272 as they look
EXACTLY the same from the front. I *THINK* the 7272 said "High
Performance* on it or something which leads me to believe it was
just more powerful. I could post the features of that radio (post
style) but would rather get the real deal.
