RE: [ASC McLaren ] New Board

Mike,

So far I love it and don't have any dislikes, but I do have a suggestion. I noticed the time wasn't reflecting my local time, so I navigated around a bit and eventually came to the time setting in my profile. My suggestion is to make the time choices in time zones we all know (i.e. eastern, central, mountain, pacific, etc). I was able to figure out that Pacific is -8 GMT, but I don't think many people know there time zone in relation to GMT. Just a suggestion...

BTW, I had to go to my profile to turn on the "E-mail notice." It was off by default.

You have a wonderful website! Thanks

Scott

Subject: [ASC McLaren ] New Board

I was wondering if there is anything about the new site that people
"dislike".

I wanted to post a message here because I wanted to hear any concerns from
people that may have refused to sign up because the don't like it. (I hope
not)

One thing I am concerned with is the difference between the yahoo group and
the new site.  The yahoo group would email out a message whenever somebody
posted...no matter what the topic was.

With the new board, people have to check it occasionally to see if there are
any new threads.  IF somebody replies to a thread then everyone who has
posted to that thread gets an email (if you do not get an email, check your
profile, there is a setting for it).

See the difference?

Would it be better if EVERYONE gets notified ANYTIME someone posts to the
new board?  I think traffic would be low enough to do it.  In large boards
with thousands of posts a day its just not practical...

Thoughts?

-Mike
