I had my brand new top put on my 87' today.It looks hot!!except
for one thing.In the back, where the top meets the trunk on the
sides there's a 1/2" to 1" gap!!! The middle of the top looks to be
okay.
I asked the guy that installed the top (who is highly
recommended) what gives?
He said that that was normal ,that all Mclarens that he has done
were like that at first,that you got to let the top stretch after about a
month or two.He insisted that that this was normal!Did anyone
experience the same thing?I hope I don't have the same
problem that message 732 posted.Could it be that because its
not warm enough here in NY that the top can not flex ?every thing
else looks and feels perfect.
It sounds weird to me.
Should I let it bother me?.......
