Dave, I just sold my 1988 Mclaren last month in order to buy a 03 cobra.
My 1988 asc was in great shape it had only 35k on it , auto matic black with
Tan interior. The only thing this car needed was a new top, even the air was
ice cold. anyway I sold it for $11000 to someone I knew, I do believe that
the car was worth a little more, however, selling it to someone I know
affords me the chance to drive it again.
Not sure what an 84 is worth, I hope the info helps.
