Colors were mixed together, no specific order.
They built appox. 6 at a time!
Employees stole palques to take home to their kids, etc, etc.
This ended with 1987 production (Plaque Theft.....)
Replacement plaques were numbered in the 16 hundreds, such as 1615,
1629, 1680, etc.
There is no finding out the "real" number on pre-1987 cars, safe to
say if it's under 50 for 1984s, under 257 for 1985s, or under 245 for
1986s it's more than likely correct!!
I have no idea how many replacement plaques were issued, however I do
know that many people who wrote and requested a replacement later
