Can't a seller just end the auction at his/her discretion such as if
the item doesn't meet the minimum price that they want?
I recently listed a Pantera on Ebay for a friend of mine who didn't
want to bother trying to do it himself. I figured it was good
practice for me and he was going to cover any costs.
One thing I learned was that the listing fee is partially based on
your starting price, so next time I do list something I will start my
fist bid much lower.
I was sure that Ebay gave me the option of ending the auction at any
time I wanted to with out a penalty.
Seems like this guy could have used this option instead of "ghost
bidding" the car to where he wanted it to be. (assuming he actually
did that)
