1. Get yourself a "Club" for the steering wheel & use it 100% of the
time.
2. Get yourself the "Auto Lok Brake Club" advertised on late nite
T.V. It locks the foot brake to the floor, rendering it impossible
to use. You also can't take the car out of Park.
3. Put everything into the trunk. Do not even leave an EMPTY bag in
view. The thief doe NOT know the bag is empty.
4. Do not LOCK the doors if it's a convertible. The only thing
between a locked convertible and an open convertible is a box cutter.
In 30 seconds you'll have a 1 foot long slit in your convertible top
and he'll have an open door.
5. The Auto Lok Brake Club comes with a bright yellow & red shower
cap-type of steering wheel cover. It looks dumb. Use it. They all
know what it is announcing, and they cannot get it off! The company
pays you $500.00 if they get it off. To date they have made one
payment, and have sold thousands of them.
6. If at all possible, do not take the car to these 2 places:-
a) - The movies! More cars are stolen at "the movies" than any
other place. The thief arrives before the show, parks near
theentrance to the parking lot & watches every cars that arrives.
YOU don't even notice him sitting there! As soon as the movie
starts, he goes with his accomplice and steal's the car. YOU are
taken care of for 90 minutes, (until you find out) and in 90 minutes
your car's in a different state!
7. Likewise, the "MALL" ~ same as above, but not quite as bad, as
they don't know when you are returning, not how much time they have,
as they DO with the movies!!
8. There is not an alarm on the market that they don't know how to
dissable! Also, people don't even pay attention to alarms
anymore....Do You? They are going off all over all day & night,
would YOU run over to risk YOUR life protecting a stranger's car?
