Yes, the Mustang parts may fit but most everything listed by Sandy would not be correct on a Capri. That would also include the Capri specific sail panels and front and rear mouldings that have the reflectors in them. Also, the cowl for 83-86 Capri was the same as the earlier Mustang/Capri 79-82 Cowl. The 83-93 Mustang Cowl will not work quite right, its too big.
I think we finally agreed that the doors interchange as well as the rear quarter glass. I checked and they are the same part number in my part sheets.
Exterior pieces that are shared between the Mustang and Capri(83-86): doors, side mirrors, glass mouldings (except around hatch), drip mouldings, mid level body mouldings on doors, LX/GS moulding between doors and wheels, quarter glass, headlights, front inner fender splash guards, antenna bezel, probably a few more things.
Things that can be used from the Mustang on a Capri but are not correct for a Capri (83-86): You are right, most everything will interchange. Front bumper cover if you also use the bumper headlight support. The hood if you also use the newer/larger 83-93 Mustang Cowl. Rear bumper cover, Not sure on the tail lights but I've seen it done. "GT" body side mouldings, front fenders, hatch, sail panels, maybe a few more odds and ends.
Almost everything internally is the same, drive train, suspension, interior. The only thing I can think of would be the steering wheel would have a cat on it instead of "Ford" for the Mustang.
