Hi,
I considering purchasing an 85 convertible and I am having a hard
time trying to determine what it is worth (the owner has no idea
either and is looking for offers). Any help would be appreciated!
The details are:
121k miles, recently rebuilt auto trans, good brakes, motor runs well
does not burn oil, fairly new exhaust. Top electrics do not work.
Average quality repaint(not original color, was red now black) only
rust is 2 small holes in rear floors. Body overall very straight. All
exterior trim in unbroken condition. Top looks OK but probably needs
replacement. Weather stripping is shot. Door hinge pins need
replacement. 2 wheels average, 2 not so good (can be refinished)
Interior very poor, reccaro seats bad, need recovering. Door panel
pockets shot, pull handles shot, carpet fair. Rest of interior fair
to average - I could probably live with it after it is cleaned up.
I realize this car will never be perfect - I just want a fun driver.
Not knowing what the interior fix ups (and if the parts are even
available) will cost, is keeping me from making an offer.
If someone can give me an approximate range of its value........and
an idea of what some of the parts might cost, it would be a HUGE help
for me.
