He doesn't mention that it has the wrong roof on it, not the missing
taillight covers, either. Im my option it's a fair to decent PARTS
CAR !
Now, been out all day - while this Spring-ee action took place. Here
is what I was told by a former ascMcLaren employee, who was
there...in the factory....from Job-1 1984 to the end, my car.
The 1984 Coupes and converts employed the Carrera 50/50 shocks &
custom designed McLaren Springs. In addition, the coupes got T-Bird
Super Coupe Tie Rod Tips. Beginning with the 1987 Mustang McLarens
no suspension changes were done.
As far as Peter Muscat goes, he has a very poor memory. Before I was
able to get all of the ascMcLaren production paperwork, I had spoken
to him. I asked Him (figured he'd know) the production #s for each
model, for each year. He gave then to me, but later when I got it
from ascMcLaren, the only year he was correct on was 1989 at 247.
The other years he was all wrong. Now, I understand that he was paid
%500.00 a car. Damn, If I was making $500.00 a car ~ I could tell
you exactly how many were made!
Maybe because of all of the lawsuits that were flying back 'n forth
over these cars, between Muscat, ASC and Ford.
