Brent, you are certainly right about the number of recent Mustangs on the road: They are everywhere!

That is one thing I do like about my '88 McL. It has its own distinctive look. At 40k miles and bright red ( does have 17" chrome wheels) it looks super. Besides if there are any late 80s 'stang ragtops left - they are generally pretty ratty or just plain junk.

Mike,

Congratulations !!!! Looks like your car is in good hands on the way to
becoming a definite show winner, wish I could do that to mine. :)

I REALLY like the 2005 Mustang and I fought myself for about a week or so
about selling my '86 EuroCoupe to help in the cost of buying one (sorry
Sandy, but my first love is and will always be my '85 XR-7) but the thought
of going in debt for 5 years plus the increased cost of car insurance nixed
the idea.
I also don't like to see myself coming and going everywhere I drive and I
think the new Mustang's are going to be everywhere so even though my current
crop of toys won't have the level of refinement that a 2005 car will have, I
still will have a smile on my face every time I get in and go for a drive.
Maybe in a few years I'll buy a niced used 2006 Mustang GT w/12,000 miles on
it for less than half the price of a new one and park it next to my
EuroCoupe. :)
