Door Frame Piant >> MIKE !!

Mike, and everyone, I opened my fresh can of paint, and dabbed an
area this size: OO with it, on the ascMcLaren-installed
verttical "B" pillar finishing moulding. THAT'S the piece you
install, AFTER you slide in the black-out plexiglass window over the
side rear quarter stock windows. It's a vertical finishing aluminum
moulding that runs from the top of the door frame, to the bottom, or
top of the side door panel. It covers the opening between the glass
FoMoCo rear quarter window & the ascMcLaren installed black-out
plexiglass window, when viewed with the door OPEN, looking between
the 2 windows. Got it?

Okay, I ordered PPG paint code 33717 Dark Charcoal for t-Bird/Cougar
according to the chart. It seems a bit too dark, but when it dried,
it was a near perfect match. The very tip top 90-degree point of my
driver's door frame ever-so-slightly skims this aluminum moulding at
the very top of the moulding. It hardly touches it, but every 2
years or so, I need to dab it, as it's wrom off. I tried tightening
the 3 screws in that piece, but they are as tight as they can go.
The tolerance just isn't there. The passenger's side does not touch.
It has been that way since day-1 - back on November 2nd 1986 when I
found my love at Wayne Lincoln-Mercury in Wayne, New Jersey.
