Subject: 1991 asc/McLaren 2-Seat Roadster

I seem to think that the June 1990 termination of
the asc/McLaren was a rather sudden decession. I have
a 1991 model Sikkens Exterior/Interior color
listing, with a print date of May 5 1990. Interior colors
scheduled to be dropped for 1991 were Crystal Blue/Shadow
Blue 2-Tone; Scarlet Red and Light & Medium Titanium
Grey. Only the Ebony Black and Oxford White were to
survive. The Claret~Wine convertible top was to die too,
leaving just the White, Black or Atlantic Blue roofs for
1991. The 1990 colors that were being dumped were:
Sterling Silver, Royal Gold and AzurA Blue. Scheduled
replacements were: Weinsberg Silver, Cinnamon Brown and Bimini
Blue. All other 1990 paints were to remain. The listing
says on it: FINAL 1991 APPROVAL asc/McLAREN COLOR
GUIDE.<br>No 1991s were ever made. By the time the first 1991
Mustang rolled of Dearborn, the (former asc/McLaren)
plant was head-deep in Jeep Grand Wagoneers getting
Power Glass Sunroofs!!
