Actually an 88 Mustang Lx 5.0 in 1988 came from the factory with
225 HP. I say do the exhaust too and enjoy the car. I have an 86
Asc McLaren Capri #26 that is extensivly modified and have no
intention to sell. I get comments about the car all the time. I
love the attention. Flowmaster, Borla, Edelbrock, Mac, among others
all make bolt-on exhaust systems that will fit the car like a glove.
Make sure to get exhaust for a GT cause you'll need the turn-down
tips. They will all HELP performance and of course sound awesome.
If the car has the Ford B cam as you say...along with the gears, the
exhaust will be even more beneficial. Good luck and have fun. If
