Ken, excellent explanation....better than I could have done. Marq
take heed. Ken, I tried every which way & then enlisted the help of
my son, waaaaaaaaay more knowledgable than I with things computer.
Neither of us could find a program able to open the files you posted.
Could you do it another way? Has anyone out there been able to view
Ken's info? If so, please tell how.
Marq, I am not real familiar with the 84/85/86 Mercury Capri
Converts. I do know that they are differentin operation than the
87/88/89/90 Mustang versions, especially in the switching from
a "hook" to a auger-screw to secure the top to the tommeasu cover.
Never owning a Capri version, I have never actually seen one work
close up. I do know tat in BOTH versions this operation is/was
problematical! To muddy the waters further, the 1990s are different
that the 89/88 & 87s!
We owner's were never supplied any such technical info such as
drawings or ever written info.
Obviously, asc/McLaren thought they were 100% fail-proof !
