OK, from what I have seen and the diagram Hank sent me...you can ask
Hank to send the diagram to you.
First off, if your bumper cover an RS or GS bumper cover. You need
the GS bumper cover to do it right. The GS bumper cover gets cut out
from about 1" below the belt moulding line on the top and about 1"
from the edges. I think the original GS cover actually survived on
my car and we will use it as a template. I could try and get a pic
of it if you need it.
The thin rubber finishing strip whould be in 2 pieces. One piece
(inner) slides in the other one (outer).
Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a while since I
saw the diagram and I'm sort of guessing at this...but I think that
the rivets that hold the air dam on go first through the (outer)
finishing strip, then the air dam, then the bumper cover. Then you
put the inner piece of the finishing strip in the outer piece to
cover the rivets.
Fom what Sandy says, the FRONT finishing strip whould be left black.
The REAR finishing strip (which is 1 piece, for looks only) is
painted blue.
