David, I agree with you on all but one small point. Often people
will ask me WHY I am so crazy about these cars. I will try to
explain, briefly.
Lets take for an example, a Cadillac Station Wagon - vintage 1969-
1976, okay? With this fine conversion, it's all out there to see. A
person not into cars, can immediately see the enormous change.
It's "on your plate" as they say ~
However, all of the little hidden alterations, some so small they are
totally oblivous, that went into making the Capri & Mustang 2-seat
roadsters are (to me) what makes them so very interesting.
The "average" person - even the car-guy has no clue what went into
doing these cars. What they DO see, is a Mercedes-Benz top on a
Mustang !! I don't think (even if they show up at car-shows is
droves, the general public is going to view them as any more than
Mercedes tops on Mustangs that have no back seat, and that's the sad
part.
